Jarrod Cox As far as letting an album take you on a journey, this album delivers. The soundscapes developed by Mr. Dudley prove to be extremely cinematic and would fit right in along side a David Fincher soundtrack as this offering is very reminiscent of the work Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross created for several of Fincher's movies.

Even though Dudley's background is as a percussionist, he shines on this album as a multi instrumentalist and producer. It serves the whole feel of this very emotive album that he had his friends provide various parts spread throughout this offering. It only strengthens this self-professed labor of love.

Buy this album. You won't regret it.

about

A dream that is also a reality for some. A look at a life of trials that leads to the transition to adapt and advance through adversity.

This album is very special to me. I was given a recording interface in 2006 by Dr. Don Peacock to use in my leisure. A tool to educate myself on how to record, and that I did. I learned a lot about writing and recording and ended up creating many pieces accompanied by my close friends. I consider this album a journey for myself. A look back at what I have learned not only in music, but in life. A collection of moments with friends.

I'd like to thank...
Mom and Dad, my brother Shane Dudley, Don Peacock, Nathan Purifoy, Michael Graham, Austin McPherson, Daniel Purifoy, Amy Purifoy, Ryan Lee, and Lyndon Purifoy.

Educator and Blogger for mattdudleydrumming.com. Years ago I fell in love with writing and recording instrumental music that had elements of foley sound, and ambient textures. The music I create tells a story without lyrics. It's an experience captured between human beings and vibrations. ... more
